I finally came around ton install a real windscreen on the DR650

I previously had a small wind deflector on my DR 650, and I was quite pleased with its performance. It did a great job of shielding my torso and face from the wind, and I didn’t experience any buffeting. However, after some long rides, I noticed that it began to shift on the DR’s windshield.
So, I decided to upgrade to a more substantial screw on option. The installation was straightforward, but I still need to test it out on the road to see how effective it really is.

Position the windshield on the DR650 screen. I just used my eyes for accuracy.
Use a sharpie to mark the drilling spots through the four holes.
Take measurements of the four spots from top, bottom, left and right borders, making any necessary adjustments.
Reposition the screen and double-check everything one last time.
Start by drilling with a small bit (like 2mm), then switch to the final 5mm bit.
Finally, attach the windshield.
