Day -12 - I had an amazing breakfast made with love by the family, which got me all set to hit the road after yesterday’s long drive. I cruised along Lac de Neuchatel towards the lovely town of Morat and then on to Bern, reminiscing about the small villages I got to know during my army days. Definitely a trip down memory lane.

Traveling through the stunning UNESCO-listed Entlebuch from Bern to Lucerne was a treat. I had to indulge in some nostalgic flavors like Nussgipfel at the Schallenberg pass. It brought back memories of my army days (again!) as I passed by the alpine shooting ranges I used to train at. Why do we get so sentimental as we grow older? Is it because we sense time slipping away? For now, I just feel my engine revving, and that's enough for me.

Day -11 - The incredible beauty of nothing. Hitting snow earlier as expected up at the Flüela pass (2384m) on my way towards the Swiss National Park. When the oncoming cars give you thumb up signs, you know you probably should not be up here with the motorcycle. I layered my Patagonia micro puff under the jacket and felt all cosy and warm.
